My Beautiful Family - Easter 2013

Welcome! Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog about motherhood overload: the joys, frustrations, lessons learned, and the humor found in this stage of life.


My name is Tamra and I currently reside in the Los Angeles area with my husband (of almost 14 years) and our seven beautiful children.  Yep, that's right, seven monsters, I mean, blessings :)  We have 3 boys and 4 girls ranging in ages from 6 months to 12 years old.  Yes, I have delivered all of them (4 with the epidural, 3 without) - we are not a blended family.  Our house is quite noisy and busy but I would have it no other way!

Besides being a full-time mommy and wife, I am a Spanish teacher, ESL tutor, cross-country coach, and aspiring blogger.  I love the outdoors and most sports.  I also enjoy writing children's books (Bailey Bathes in the Potty and The Going Green Gang Helps Save the Nature Preserve - both by Tate Publishing http://www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore/book.php?w=978-1-61663-381-3) or articles about education.  I am most interested in how children or adolescents develop character.

My main interest in writing though pertains to motherhood and the dynamics that make up the family.
